Cazenovia Community Fitness strives to offer a comprehensive program of fitness for all levels and ages. We focus on encouragement and motivation through learning each client’s goals and restrictions. We like to laugh while working. We believe in the power of music to push through plateaus and the positive energy of fitness friends working hard together. We offer fitness styles for every person, delivered by reputable instructors who make each client a priority. We consider CCF our “Positivity Zone” and strive to inspire a balanced approach to the “why” behind our fitness goals.

Owners: Marla Velky-Reger & Meghan Kelly

Marla and Meg have been friends for well over a decade – and one of their many common bonds has always been their passion for fitness. For years they talked about starting a fitness studio together, so it is with much excitement Cazenovia Community Fitness was born in 2016.

My love for fitness of the body and mind has led me on the Piloxing journey. I began as a student and loved how Piloxing improved my balance, core strength and overall fitness. I felt I wanted to share this fun, fast past workout with others.

Besides my full time job as a restaurateur and innkeeper, I am focused on practicing many forms of fitness- Yoga, TRX, Interval Training, Meditation.

Pam McFarland

Dr. Pam McFarland, a licensed physical therapist with over 35 years of experience, has earned her Pilates mat certification from the USA-based Pilates Associates Teacher Training Institute program. She has additional training with the Australiam Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute.

Dr. Pam offers a modified approach to classical Pilates mat exercises, which will promote health and wellness for class participants. 

Classes are limited to ten participants to encourage correct performance of the exercises. Private and semi-private sessions are offered by appointment.

Penni Croot

I have been active in ballet as a professional dancer and a teacher for a long time. My professional training, experience and teacher certification are from the National Ballet of Canada. I teach a range of ages and ability levels in my Adult Ballet classes. Several of my students studied ballet as kids and wanted to get back into it. Some always wanted to take ballet, but were never able to do it. I tailor the class to the students present and there is no pressure to be the best. We work on core strength, balance, grace and posture as well as toning the entire body. No pointe shoes – EVER!

I have been a Group X instructor for 12 years, celebrating 10 years as a Zumba instructor. Specializing in Senior group classes, Silver & Fit and Silver Sneakers. I love bringing my passion of dance to my Zumba classes.

My name is Kiley, and I am a 200hr certified yoga teacher based in Manhattan. I started my yogi journey back in 2007 with Vinyasa and Dharma yoga. I decided to advance my practice in 2020 by getting my yoga teacher certification at Sonic Yoga in Hell’s Kitchen, NYC. I am also Yoga Alliance certified.

Gioia Gensini

I have been teaching fitness in addition to pursuing my legal career (I am admitted to the New York State Bar) for 38 years. I pride myself in maintaining my fitness education by constant learning. I have taught, and love to teach, a variety of classes and formats, including most of the certifications listed below. One of my favorites is TRX, including the new TRX Yoga. I often teach combination Strength and HIIT classes, both in-person and virtual. Cycling is also one of my loves, and I am an avid outdoor cyclist as well as an indoor cycling instructor.

Kate Hanzalik

Kate is a registered yoga teacher in Baptiste Power Yoga (i.e. hot vinyasa yoga), and a member of Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing yoga since 2004, is certified in Reiki, and loves long-distance running; she has competed in ultramarathons and a marathon in lots of different places in the U.S. Throughout her fitness journey, she has used strength training as a way to avoid injuries, build endurance, and stay strong.

Thea Griffin

Thea Griffin is a longtime certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher. She teaches classic yoga that includes postures, breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques.This increases the body, mind, spirit connection resulting in a deepened practice and overall well- being, health and peacefulness.

Bodhi Borer

Bodhi’s deepest interest is to offer a glimpse of the full power of yoga as transmitted by her teachers. More than physical exercise or stress reduction, yoga is a joy filled path to self-realization. Yoga has been a living light for Bodhi for over thirty years. She is certified Kripalu Yoga teacher, as well as an experienced faculty assistant at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. For the past three years she has been teaching on zoom and will continue that while maintaining her private business in stretch therapy and yoga flow. Bodhi’s passion is inviting others to discover their innate authentic power.

Cy Gatewood

I have had a true passion for health and fitness since the age of 14. I have been training and working in the areas of bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, mixed martial arts, children’s fitness and self defense, adult self defense, tactical conditioning, nutritional counseling, swim lessons as well as general strength and conditioning for over 25 years. My experience in the military and as a defensive tactics instructor, ER nurse, and general fitness instructor has given me a unique understanding of the human body that has enabled me to help anyone achieve their fitness goals.
