For my Fitness Friends: 2016 Loyalty Program

Meghan Kelly Fitness

Three years ago this week, I was nervously preparing kickboxing workouts to start at my Tuesday 5:30 pm class at the brand new Allure Fitness & Dance.  It had been 8 years since I taught group fitness, and a lot had changed – 3 kids, 3 moves, and a lot of life challenges.  My passion for fitness never waned but my life plan was to return to teaching when my youngest started kindergarten, which would be the Fall of 2016.

Three years later, I’m so grateful that I went against my life plan and started when I did.  I have met so many incredible people and I truly consider them my friends & family.

My Fitness Friends.

You inspire me to challenge myself, to keep going when I’m tired, to reach for higher goals, pick up heavier weights and jump higher off the floor.

As a thank you for your loyalty and support, I have a few FUN announcements:

  1. Beginning today, March 1st, I am running a Loyalty Program for my Meghan Kelly Fitness clients.  This will apply to my drop in classes, which are held Monday mornings, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  Check out the fun you have in store as a reward for coming to your favorite classes or trying one for the 1st time!
  2. FIELD TRIP!  Saturday, April 9th, a limo will pick us up from Allure and take us to Fleet Feet for a private shopping event!  You know how I’m obsessed with all of you wearing the right footwear for class (& fitness clothes!)….well, this is your chance to work with the experts and get fitted for what you need.  The store will be opened just for us with staff waiting to help & refreshments to enjoy!  Pick up will be at 8 am and we will be dropped back in Caz by noon.  I can take 12 people.  Contact me to secure your spot!

We’ve come a long way in three years – from kickboxing and strength training classes, to TurboKick (for a brief time), to the current rotation of formats.  From calls or texts about class changes, to a cutting edge app & social media accounts!  You have my commitment to change as we grow and always keep it FUN!

My heartfelt thanks to each of you for laughing at my not so funny jokes, listening to my not always interesting research findings, woohoo-ing through the sweat & burn and ALWAYS showing up!

I was nervous about joining a fitness class , as I had never felt comfortable in a group setting previously. I am a recreational runner, and I knew at this point in my life I needed more strength, flexibility, and stamina to keep going. I had read about muscle loss as we get older and it was starting to freak me out. I knew Meghan from grooming her dog, and happened to notice her poster in the window of Allure.. After questions galore, which she patiently awswered, and encouragement, I joined the Insanity/ P 90x classes. Day one she made me feel completely comfortable !!!! I don’t feel akward if there is a move that I have to modify, and her peppy ” you got this” as we are thinking we can’t possibly do one more rep is truly encouraging! I am now in my 2nd session, and really love it! Great class, great trainer! I am very happy you are teaching us instead of the kids!!

Thank you Meg for your awesome classes! Because of them and your great inspiration I feel encouraged to challenge myself each class. Whether it’s trying for one more push-up or having fun at the “barre” you make each class I take a blast. I am always looking forward to the next one. Thanks for helping me to become stronger on my road to fitness!

Thanks Meg for a being an inspiration and encouraging us to do better than we think we can every week! I never thought I’d be able to keep the pace but with your support and confidence I have and am thrilled that I feel healthier than I have in years – thank you!

I am very excited about my decision to join Meg and Marla in the new CCF studio. I have been taking almost all of Meg’s classes for 3+ years. When I started, I doubted I would be able to do all of the moves that Insanity and P90X require, but something magical happens when you walk into her class. There is so much energy around you, you can’t help but catch it! Instead of dreading the idea of going to exercise, but feeling good afterward, I actually look forward to class even after a bad day. We are like a family there. We share and care and welcome new folks with open arms. Just when you think you can’t do one more burpee or pushup, Meg shouts encouragement, and gets you over the hump.

These classes have changed my life. I am strong, confident and happy most of the time. And that is saying something for someone who is 68 years old with a fake knee and rebuilt cervical spine! Thank you Meg!
